We're so excited to share today's Living Room & Dining Room before & after! Both rooms are a part of the house where we recently completed a kitchen remodel, which we posted about a couple of weeks ago.
Let's start with the Living Room, shall we?! Here are a couple "before" photos.... lots of dark brown as well as a hidgepodge of accessories.
Our goal was to tone down, freshen up and maintain a comfortable, casual living space for the whole family to enjoy.
We added cabinet doors below the television with a fun "x" pattern to conceal the tv components. And although we didn't change the paint color on the walls, we did opt to cover the turquoise on the back of the built ins with a textured, neutral wallpaper.
Ahhhh...LOVE that faux croc ottoman...so chic, yet so practical for this family of 5!
Ok, now on to the Dining Room... Just like the Living Room, the Dining Room had a lot of heavy, brown pieces, and the table and chairs just weren't the right scale for the room.
We needed a single focal point/wow factor for this space, and boy did we find it in the antler & crystal chandelier! We also opted to remove much of the furniture from the room and replace the table and chairs with much more substantial pieces. And instead of replacing the buffet (on the right hand side of the photos), we actually had it refinished...we love saving money anywhere we can!
This project was so much fun! We are so thankful for our amazing clients and the fact that they trust us with their beautiful homes! Happy weekend everyone!
