A 1970's Minibar Make Over

If you follow us on Facebook, you've likely seen the sneak peek of this Ft Worth project...but we had so much interest in it, we wanted to share a couple of "before's and after's" with you as well! We've all seen them... those 1970's/1980's wet bars that are so inconveniently placed smack dab in the middle of a living room. Nearly 40 years later, they can be more of an eye sore than they are functional.

We recently turned what was a huge living room wet bar into a storage closet for one of our Lake Highlands clients, but for this Ft Worth client who entertains regularly, we decided to have them give it a complete makeover.

Here is the wet bar before...

And here is the after...

In an effort to show the space off, we opted to remove the doors all together.

The upper cabinets house their fine stemware and are displayed on glass shelves with upper lighting.

We adore the glass backsplash...but I think my favorite part has to be the "X" detail on the cabinet fronts...so stylish and sophisticated. We also carried this detail to the other side of the room where we redesigned a wall of old built ins...it turned out beautiful. We'll be sure  to share those photos after the room is professionally photographed.
