Client Project Reveal: Master Bedroom Retreat
Over the past year and a half I have mentioned this client's "forever home" project a handful of times... As previously mentioned, this home is a new construction and was completed about 3 months ago.
While I had the pleasure of selecting the furnishings for the Living Room and Master Bedroom on my own, I was lucky enough to be asked to "hand hold" throughout the construction process. In other words, my client felt confident in her vision of the home (she has ah-mazing taste!), but asked me to accompany her to the design meetings to help her make decisions on finishes such as flooring, wall tile, counter tops, etc to ensure that her selections corresponded with her vision.
The most exciting part of that particular process was the master bath and kitchen, hands down....you'll see why later in this post!
Ok, back to the Master... We had the furnishings installed about a month ago and finally had the chance to have it photographed yesterday. Here is the photo of the fireplace wall during the construction process....
My client's aspiration was to have a monochromatic, serene, sophisticated master retreat where her and her husband could truly relax and unwind.
Here is the finished product...
I'm slightly obsessed with the cozy little sitting area by the fireplace. Oh, and the door to the right of the fireplace leads out to a private balcony, which they plan to make a breakfast area... I know, right?! The best part is that their master bedroom is on the second floor and has the most amazing tree top views!
And behind those french doors to the left of the sitting area is their master bath....
We haven't quite nailed down all of the accessories for the bath yet.....we are still on the hunt for a little gold table to put next to the tub for bath salts, etc. BUT we did recently find the most amazing grey tufted bench with lucite legs, which will settle against a long wall that leads to the walk in closets.
We are scheduled to have her living room photographed next week....so I'll give you a peek into her fabulous kitchen at that time. Think, GRAY cabinets! Yes, it's fabulous!
