Gray Cabinets, Gold Hardware and a DIY Vintage Christmas Stocking
Ahhh....it's been a while, I know... So much going on around here! I plan on making some time to have a couple of my most recently completed projects photographed in the next few weeks, so I'll finally be able to show you what's been keeping me so busy these last few months.
Oh, and do you remember the "forever home" that I've been working on with my long time client, Seema? I first mentioned it HERE. Well, the house will be ready to close in January, so we are now hard at work tackling the furniture design for her Living Room and Master Bedroom.
What I haven't shared with you are the amazing details of her new kitchen.... Think gray cabinets, Carrara Marble and gold hardware! Yes, GOLD!! I'm obsessed and can hardly WAIT for it to be installed!! Oh, and wait until you see the matching gold pendants over the bar...ah-ma-zing! I came across this picture online, which reminded me of our design...
On another note, I found some super cute Christmas stockings at West Elm this weekend. One in particular caught my eye and I thought it would be perfect for Miss Stella's first stocking!
Cute, right? I thought the felt flowers made it look at bit vintage, which I love...I always seem to lean towards a vintage look when it comes to decorating my house for the Holidays. Remember the paper flowers I made for my tree a few years ago?? I haven't used them since, but it was fun for one year.
I just love the chic, sophisticated feel of the whites, creams and golds and can never have too many feathers, mercury glass or glitter! My husband's worst nightmare.
But when I brought the stocking home, I knew I needed to add a "little something" to spice it up a bit...after all, it IS Stella's first stocking! So, I raided my jewelry cabinet, pulled apart a bunch of necklaces that I've never worn, and voila!
Loving the detail of the steel gray and baby pink flowers...and of course, the feathers and pearls! I also plan on having her name embroidered in the center of the stocking.
Now to figure out the stockings for the rest of the family....hmmmm...
Happy Monday everyone!!
