When our client, Stacey, contacted us to make over her master closet, we were like, “ummm, yeahhh.” Who wouldn’t love to design a chic master closet?!
When Stacey and her husband moved into their Dallas home, a spare bedroom next to the master bathroom had been opened up to create Stacey’s own private closet. Sounds fabulous, right? Well, it wasn’t…it needed help. It needed style. It needed life. But most of all, it needed function!
Here is Stacey’s closet before…
We give the previous home owner an E for effort…but the reality is nothing was done 100%. The built-ins were piecemealed and everything was kind of starting to unravel.
Here are a couple more photos of the closet before the remodel.
We started our design by contacting California Closets as we needed a more functional built-in system. Sure we could have had a contractor come in and build a system for us, but Cal Closets offered so many finishes and details we were looking for. We worked with them on layout, style, finishes, etc. Stacey wanted glamorous and chic, and her one requirement was that we incorporate this black embossed croc wall paper.
So when Stacey came home from her 3 month summer vacay last week, she walked in to this…
Dramatic black functional built-ins with high-gloss drawer fronts, a metallic gold ceiling, powder pink walls, gold hanging rods (yes, those exist) and the list goes on and on…
A full length leaning mirror is a must!
There’s that embossed croc wallpaper…and I’m a huge fan of the Schumacher by Mary McDonald drapery fabric. Could you just die for that lucite/gold drapery rod?!
Speaking of lucite and gold…check out those drawer pulls!
She now has a fabulous, functional closet worthy of her handbag and shoe collection. Thank you, Stacey, for trusting our Design Team with your space! It was a fun project indeed!
